Harris County Emergency Services, a five-member Board of Commissioners, governs District No. 24. The Commissioners are elected by district voters and serve four-year staggered terms. To be eligible to be a candidate for emergency services commissioner, a person must be at least 18 years of age and a district resident. An election among the board members determines the officer positions.
